Huawei’s Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 5.0 handles perception and active intervention outside the "Sky Dome," while Dongfeng’s vehicle safety capabilities manage the body, battery, health, and rescue systems within it.The Yijing X9 features a four-LiDAR setup, including one 896-line forward-facing unit and three high-definition solid-state LiDARs. With 32 fusion sensors in total, the system can detect obstacles as small as 14 centimeters from 120 meters away. During a public test broadcast by CCTV News, the vehicle successfully identified and avoided obstacles in challenging conditions—navigating through high beams at night and heavy rain with low visibility.The vehicle body employs a "six-longitudinal, 11-transverse" cage structure. It withstood a frontal offset collision at 105 km/h against a moving barrier weighing nearly 2.48 tons. The passenger cabin remained intact with no significant deformation to the A-pillars, all four doors opened normally, and the battery showed no leaks or fires. Even after being crushed by a 16-ton container, the doors remained operational. The battery system is built with four layers of defense. For rescue operations, the vehicle retains mechanical door opening and electronic backup unlocking, supported by supercapacitors and an E-Call system. Health-focused features include skin-friendly antibacterial materials and a negative-ion fresh air system. Citing a veteran craftsman, Zeng Qinglin noted that national standards are merely the baseline—design margins should be maximized.
