The company recorded a total monthly sales volume of 403,472 units, with passenger vehicles accounting for 397,292 units – a 5.4% increase month-over-month and a 5.2% rise year-over-year. The market demand remains remarkably balanced between pure electric and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) technologies. In June, BYD sold 201,472 pure electric vehicles and 195,820 plug-in hybrid vehicles, reflecting a nearly equal split in consumer preference. Overseas market momentum In June, the company exported 174,897 passenger vehicles and pickup trucks, marking a 95% year-on-year increase. For the first half of 2026, BYD’s cumulative overseas sales have been 789,367 units.
