According to China EV DataTracker, Voyah delivered 31,018 vehicles in Q1 2026, up 18.5% Year-Over-Year. Its current model line includes five cars: the Free, the Courage, the Taishan crossovers, the Passion sedan, and the Dream minivan. On April 22, the Taishan X8 SUV started presales in China. The new model became available for orders with two powertrain variants. The Taishan X8 PHEV has a price range of 302,900 – 369,900 yuan (44,380 – 54,200 USD). Its all-electric counterpart costs between 349,900 and 389,900 yuan (51,270 – 57,130 USD). For clarity, the flagship Voyah Taishan six-seat plug-in hybrid SUV starts at 379,900 yuan (55,665 USD) domestically. Voyah Taishan X8 According to Voyah officials, the new Taishan X8 got 20,000 orders in 20 hours in China. Interestingly, the car got 15,000 orders in the first 53 minutes after the presales had begun. These are refundable orders. So, the actual sales volume of the Taishan X8 will most likely be lower. More about Voyah Taishan X8 The new Voyah Taishan X8 boasts hefty dimensions of 5200/2025/1814 mm. The wheelbase reaches 3,090 mm. It adopts a large front grille finished in body paint. Other features include split headlights, semi-hidden door handles, and a single taillight unit. The new vehicle adopts the latest 896-line LiDAR sensor from Huawei. Interior of the Voyah Taishan X8 The car’s interior adopts five seats. There is a block of two 15.6-inch screens in the center console. The interior adopts an LCD instrument cluster, a gear shifter behind the wheel, and a built-in fridge. Rear passengers have a ceiling-mounted screen. Each seat of the Taishan X8 adopts heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The Voyah Taishan X8 PHEV adopts a 1.5-liter engine under the hood, producing 110 kW (148 hp). The entry-level model offers dual-motor AWD with a peak power output of 365 kW (489 hp) and a 44.5 kWh battery for 245 km of EV range under CLTC conditions. A more powerful variant offers a 65 kWh pack powering electric motors for 380 kW (510 hp). The electric range is 370 km under CLTC conditions. The BEV version of the Taishan X8 has two electric motors. Their combined peak power is 365 kW (489 hp). It is available with two battery options for 98 and 120 kWh. The electric range lies between 603 and 727 km. As my colleague Kevin previously mentioned, the Taishan X8 could enter foreign markets under the Titan X8 name.
