The Ellabell Megacharger station features six stalls, each capable of delivering up to 1.2 megawatts of power to a Tesla Semi. Drivers need to back up into the charging bay, as the site's design doesn't allow for pull-through charging.Earlier this week, Tesla energized another Semi station in Conley, Georgia, but it isn't affiliated with Pilot. This site has pull-through stalls.Pilot's travel centers, which are popular stops for truckers, will get between four and eight Megachargers. The stations will be built at select locations along I-5, I-10, and other major freight corridors across California, Indiana, Nevada, and Texas."Pilot is proud to bring heavy-duty charging directly to key trucking routes and pair it with the services and amenities drivers rely on," said Shannon Sturgil, senior vice president of alternative fuels at Pilot. "With these initial locations, we're making fleet electrification a more accessible option for long-haul transportation and are excited to continue working with Tesla to move at the pace and preference of our customers."Tesla Megacharger at a Pilot stopThe second Pilot-Tesla Semi charging station will go online today at the Flying J location on E. Paige Ave. in Tulare, California. Another Flying J in Fort Stockton will get a Megacharger station soon, followed by a Pilot Travel Center in North Las Vegas. Another nine sites are actively under construction, but their locations haven't been revealed yet.Pilot's travel centers have plenty of amenities, including quick service restaurants. That's great news for electric truck drivers, who can take a break while their rig is charging. In the Tesla Semi's case, a 30-minute top-up will boost the state of charge by 60%.Besides welcoming heavy-duty charging stations for Tesla Semis, Pilot already has over 1,000 fast-charging stalls for regular EVs. The company partnered with General Motors and EVgo, and has so far energized 1,300 stalls at 300 locations throughout the country, with more on the way. In the near future, no fewer than 2,000 chargers will be available across 500 Pilot travel centers.More Stories Like ThisTesla Finally Kicks Off Semi Deliveries As Diesel Prices SkyrocketThe Tesla Semi Just Got A Massive Boost From The Biggest U.S. Electric Truck Order EverTesla's European Megacharger Rollout Starts With Over 100 Megawatt-Capable ChargersTesla Semi Official Battery Specs Are Out, And They're Impressive
