Tesla delivered just 8,295 “Other Models” in Q3 2026, down 48% from a year ago and the lowest total for the category since 2021. With the Model S and Model X out of production, almost all of them were Cybertrucks. That gives us the cleanest look yet at Cybertruck sales. We estimate Tesla delivered 7,000 to 8,000 of the trucks last quarter, a pace of about 30,000 a year from a line it planned for 250,000. “Other Models” hit a five-year low Tesla doesn’t report Cybertruck sales. Since the truck launched, Tesla has lumped it into “Other Models” with the Model S, the Model X, and now the Semi and Cybercab, although it’s still unclear how Tesla accounts for deliveries of the latter since it delivers them to itself. That category came in at 8,295 deliveries in Q3, according to Tesla’s production and delivery report. It was 15,933 a year ago and 12,364 last quarter. Advertisement - scroll for more content The last time the number was this low was Q2 2021, when Tesla delivered 1,890 Model S and Model X while it switched both to their refreshed versions. Production fell too. Tesla built 7,004 “Other Models” in Q3, down 40% from 11,624 a year ago. Most of that drop is the Model S and Model X disappearing. Production of both ended in April, with about 600 cars left in inventory and a final run of 350 Signature cars still to deliver. They padded “Other Models” for years. Our estimate: 7,000 to 8,000 Cybertrucks Three things are left in “Other Models” deliveries: the Cybertruck, the Semi, and leftover Model S and Model X. The leftovers are small. Between the last inventory cars and the Signature run, we’re talking about a few hundred deliveries at most in Q3. The Semi is small too. For now. Tesla has been building trucks at its new Nevada factory since April, but it only announced volume production and the start of customer deliveries on September 25, five days before the quarter ended. In July, Tesla’s own shareholder letter still listed the plant as “commissioning.” We’d put Q3 Semi deliveries in the hundreds. The Cybercab is the bigger unknown. Tesla clearly produced a few thousand of them, but it’s unclear if it counts any of the few in its robotaxi fleet as “delivered.” Here’s the math: Q3 2026 deliveriesUnits“Other Models” (reported by Tesla)8,295Model S and Model X leftovers (Electrek estimate)a few hundredSemi (Electrek estimate)a few hundredCybertruck (Electrek estimate)7,000 to 8,000 Production is harder to read. Again, Tesla doesn’t say if the 7,004 “other Models” it built include the Cybercab, which went into production at Gigafactory Texas in April. If they do, Tesla built far fewer Cybertrucks than it delivered and sold the rest out of inventory. A good quarter for the Cybertruck is still a fraction of the plan By Cybertruck standards, 7,000 to 8,000 is a good quarter. Using the same math, we estimated about 5,000 Cybertruck deliveries in Q2 2025 and about 21,500 for all of 2025. Cox Automotive’s US estimates are lower still: Quarter“Other Models” deliveries (Tesla, global)Cybertruck sales (Cox, US)Q3 202422,91514,416Q4 202423,64012,991Q1 202512,8816,406Q2 202510,3944,306Q3 202515,9335,385Q4 202511,6424,140Q1 202616,1303,519Q2 202612,3643,744Q3 20268,295not out yet Cox’s numbers have run low before. S&P Global Mobility counted 7,071 Cybertruck registrations in Q4 2025, and 1,339 of those went to SpaceX and Elon Musk’s other companies. A few things helped in Q3. The cheaper dual-motor trim started reaching customers in late June, and high gas prices have lifted EV demand across the board. Tesla also had a backlog. When it sued its Cybertruck casting supplier in July, it told the court it had “several thousand Cybertrucks already committed to customers” that it couldn’t build without its tooling. That fight disrupted production for weeks, so some Q3 deliveries were orders Tesla would’ve filled earlier. Then Tesla raised Cybertruck prices by $5,000 in August. The dual-motor now starts at $74,990. But even at the top of our range, 8,000 trucks a quarter is 32,000 a year. Tesla planned the Cybertruck line for 250,000 a year, and its latest shareholder letter lists more than 125,000 units of installed capacity. That’s 13% of the plan and about a quarter of what’s installed. The Cybertruck is still the best-selling electric pickup in the US, for what that’s worth. Cox had it at 3,744 units in Q2, ahead of the discontinued Ford F-150 Lightning at 2,421, the Chevy Silverado EV at 2,266, and the Rivian R1T at 1,219. Electrek’s Take For almost three years, Tesla hid the Cybertruck behind the Model S and Model X. That cover is now mostly gone. Q3 2026 is the first quarter where “Other Models” is basically a Cybertruck number, and it’s 8,295 at the very most. If Tesla delivered 7,000 to 8,000 Cybertrucks, that’s up from where the truck was in 2025. But it took a cheaper trim and a gas price crisis to get there, and Tesla’s response was to raise prices by $5,000. We’ll see what Q4 looks like without the backlog. However, we don’t expect this clean-er look to last. The Semi is ramping at a factory Tesla says can build 50,000 trucks a year, and every one of them will land in “Other Models.” Within a few quarters, Tesla will be able to point to growth in the category, and the Cybertruck will be hidden again.
