Little Car Company Ferrari Testa Rossa on BaTBring a Trailer (Bring a Trailer)Here's an electric Ferrari we can all agree looks great. From The Little Car Company, it's built to 3/4 scale, perfect for tifosi of smaller stature.Pull the restrictor fuse, and it'll do a brisk 50 mph.The internet was abuzz this week with the reveal of the latest Ferrari model, and not everyone was a fan. Whether it was taking issue with the electric powertrain or the four-door looks, the critics had plenty of mud to throw. But what if an electric-powered Ferrari could make everyone smile?Bring a Trailer (Bring a Trailer)Just such a machine has turned up on Bring a Trailer (which, like Car and Driver, is part of Hearst Autos): It's a 2024 Ferrari Testarossa from the UK's The Little Car Company. Built in 3/4 scale under official license from Ferrari, including assistance from the brand's Classiche archives, it looks absolutely smashing—and just happens to be powered by a 12-kW electric drivetrain.Bring a Trailer (Bring a Trailer)Okay, so it's not an actual 1950s Le Mans winner, but have you seen how much those go for these days? Ferrari only built 19 customer-car examples of the 250 Testa Rossa, all of which would now fetch prices at auction that you could buy a country mansion for.AdvertisementAdvertisementThe Little Car Company (TLCC) is based at a decommissioned RAF airfield near Bicester in the UK, and has done a series of these small-scale recreations of special vintage cars. The inspiration was a scaled-down Bugatti racing car of genuine vintage, the Bugatti Baby, built by Ettore Bugatti in 1926 as a birthday present for his son Roland. Hedley Studios, TLCC's parent company, restored it some years ago and has since been building its own machines, always to a high level of accuracy.Bring a Trailer (Bring a Trailer)At top speed, with the restrictor fuse pulled, this electric prancing foal can manage 50 mph, which is plenty quick in a scaled-down car. Just the thing for buzzing around your local go-kart track or as a neighborhood electric vehicle. Range is very roughly 70 miles or so per charge.Bring a Trailer (Bring a Trailer)Then, park it in the living room as a sort of display model that you can actually drive from time to time. TLCC has worked hard here to get the details exactly right, from 12-inch wire wheels actually made by Borrani, to leather straps to hold the hood and trunk down, and footpedals that were sourced directly from Ferrari. It looks like an absolute bundle of fun, even if you'll only ever drive it off the road. The seller includes a video of drifting a similar car around Rockefeller Center, underneath the iconic Christmas tree, and it's absolute magic.AdvertisementAdvertisementThis little Ferrari tribute is the perfect sorbet to cleanse the palate from any sour taste left by squabbling over the Luce's looks or powertrain.
