Twisted Automotive Brings Ferrari-Hued Land Rover Defender to US Debut at The Bridge XMotoriousElizabeth PuckettMon, September 14, 2026 at 3:00 PM UTCAdd us on GoogleTwisted Automotive, the Yorkshire restomod house that spends 2,500 hours rebuilding each classic Land Rover it touches, is crossing the Atlantic for its first appearance at The Bridge X concours in Bridgehampton, New York, taking place September 18-20.The centerpiece is a bespoke Defender T110 finished in Hyperion Blue, a paint code more commonly associated with rare 1960s Ferraris and Maseratis than with a boxy British 4x4. Draping a supercar hue once reserved for delicate Italian coachwork over the Defender's blunt, utilitarian shape is the kind of contrast Twisted has built its reputation on, and the company is using it to introduce itself to American collectors face to face for the first time.Phil Chapman, Twisted's Head of Brand, tied the color choice back to the company's core ethos, saying its builds are guided by the idea that "our philosophy has always been about rebellion." Sitting alongside the Hyperion Blue truck will be a second T110 finished in Stirling Moss Blue that has already been sold to a US customer, with members of Twisted's UK build team on hand to answer questions from showgoers.A side profile of Twisted's Hyperion Blue Defender T110, stripped to bare metal and rebuilt around LT1 V8 power. That formula, an old Defender rebuilt around a modern V8, has become a common thread among boutique restomod shops chasing the same American buyers.AdvertisementAdvertisementBeyond the two finished Defenders, Twisted will show a scale model of the TRRC, its upcoming take on the Range Rover Classic, giving American showgoers a preview ahead of a fuller US reveal later this year. It's a project that puts Twisted in a growing field of shops on both sides of the Atlantic reworking the Range Rover Classic with modern running gear.Founded in Yorkshire in 2000, Twisted Automotive operates alongside sister companies Twisted Marine and KS Composites across the UK, US and Japan. The Bridge X runs September 18-20 in Bridgehampton, New York.⚡️ Read the full article on MotoriousSign up for the Motorious Newsletter.
