Credit: Li Auto Li Auto has officially announced that the 2026 model of its i6 SUV is scheduled for market launch on October 28, with deliveries expected to commence in early November. The vehicle is set to arrive at dealerships on October 11 and will make its international debut at the Paris Motor Show on October 12. Li Auto CEO Li Xiang highlighted that the 2026 Li i6 introduces six upgrades: Lighting: The vehicle is now equipped with ADB matrix headlights, identical to those found on the Li Mega, offering improved brightness, width, and range for night driving. Storage: A new electric front trunk (frunk) has been added, featuring convenient “knock-to-open” and voice-control functionality. Comfort: The front row now features dual zero-gravity seats capable of reclining to a 150-degree angle. Display: The interior boasts a 29-inch 6K panoramic screen in the front and a 21-inch 4K entertainment screen for rear passengers. Range: Powered by a 96 kWh fast-charging battery, the vehicle achieves a CLTC-rated range of 780 km (632 km WLTP). Computing: The system is powered by a combination of the Qualcomm 8797 chip and Li Auto’s “Mach M100” chip. Design and dimensionsThe 2026 Li i6 features exterior refinements, aligning its front bumper design with the new L9 and i9 models. It adopts semi-concealed door handles compliant with new national standards and offers a choice of 20-inch or 21-inch wheels. The vehicle measures 4,950 mm in length, 1,935 mm in width, and 1,655 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. BatteryThe i6 utilises Li Auto’s self-developed battery system, covering the entire chain from cells to Pack and BMS. The 5C fast-charging cells are produced by Sunwoda and CALB under Li Auto’s specifications, with the final battery pack assembly completed in-house. PerformanceThe powertrain is available in single-motor and dual-motor configurations. The single-motor version delivers a maximum power of 250 kW (335 hp), while the dual-motor system features a front motor with 150 kW (201 hp) and a rear motor with 250 kW (335 hp). Li i6 is Li Auto’s best-selling model at present. In September, Li Auto sold 31,817 vehicles, down 6.3% year on year and 15.6% month on month. The i6 accounted for roughly half of September’s sales.
