According to Li Auto, the vehicle stands out with a drag coefficient of just 0.215, marking it as the most aerodynamic mass-produced SUV in the world. Design and dimensions The i9 features Li Auto’s i-series design language, highlighted by the “Star Ring” headlights with ADB high-beam support. The vehicle measures 5225mm in length, 1970mm in width, and 1752mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3168mm. The i9 offers a minimum turning diameter of only 10.6m, thanks to its steer-by-wire system and rear-wheel steering. The side of Li i9. Interior The interior features a three-layer colour scheme and premium materials. The i9 is equipped with four zero-gravity seats that can be deployed simultaneously. The second-row seats are full-sized, bidirectional rotating units that, when combined with a table, can transform the cabin into a living room, bedroom, cinema, or private dressing room. The vehicle also includes: A 10L electric refrigerator (cooling/heating). A 9.3.6-channel home theatre sound system with 29 speakers (peak power 4960W). A 29-inch 6K panoramic front screen and a 21-inch 4K rear entertainment screen. Performance and charging The i9 utilises a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system (front asynchronous induction + rear permanent magnet synchronous), delivering a total power output of 400kW (536hp) and 660Nm of torque. It achieves a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 4.9 seconds. Equipped with a 101 kWh 5C ultra-fast charging ternary lithium battery, the i9 offers a CLTC range of 705km. The vehicle supports high-speed charging, capable of adding 500km of range in 10 minutes. Intelligence and safety The optional “Embodied Intelligence” package features dual M100 chips (1280 TOPS) and four LiDAR sensors. Supported by the new Mach VLA driver model, the system enhances autonomous driving comfort and performance in both urban and highway environments. Safety is bolstered by 11 airbags, a 2000MPa integrated dual-door ring structure, and a redundant power supply system. Battery As Li Auto has decided to adopt self-developed batteries, the first batch of i9 models will still be equipped with CATL batteries, but will later switch to versions using Li Auto-developed batteries manufactured by Sunwoda.
