The new vehicle will start sales on September 2, offering rear-wheel steering, active suspension, and four LiDAR sensors. On March 31, Li Xiang shared a post on his official page on the Weibo social media. The top manager said that gasoline-powered minivans used the worst suspension systems. It led to a poor driving and riding experience for both the driver and the passengers. However, the new generation of the Li Auto Mega minivan will adopt new tech applications, thanks to the BEV architecture. The new Li Auto Mega. The 800V anti-roll bar technology reportedly makes driving more enjoyable. Thanks to steer-by-wire and rear-wheel steering, the new Mega is as “agile” as the Li Auto L6 and the i6 crossovers. This statement could mean that the minivan’s turning radius will be equal to that of the mentioned SUVs. So, it will be around 5.8 meters. Li Xiang added that his company created a new product definition, similar to the iPhone’s revolution against Nokia. So, Li Auto’s founder expects the new Mega to do to the MPV segment what the iPhone did to the phone industry. The new Li Auto Mega. Its cumulative deliveries reached 32,508 units, according to China EV DataTracker. Moreover, it also fell under the recall campaign of 11,000 minivans across China. The currently available first-gen Li Mega is priced between 529,800 and 559,800 yuan (78,760 – 83,220 USD). The new Mega retained the same exterior styling with the implementation of minor adjustments like semi-hidden door handles. Its dimensions are 5355/1965/1850 mm with a wheelbase of 3,300 mm. The car’s cabin adopts seven seats with a 2+2+3 layout. Its powertrain adopts a dual-motor AWD for 413 kW (553 hp) and a CATL-made 108 kWh ternary NMC pack for 710 km of CLTC range. The new model also has four LiDAR sensors and dual in-house-developed Mach M100 chips for 2,560 TOPS. Most important news in your inbox. Recaps · scheduled All you need, in one email.
