Gasgoo Munich-Li Auto officially announced on August 26 that the next-generation MEGA will debut on September 2. The seats feature a diamond-quilted pattern with exclusive "Home" embroidery on the headrests, while the third row gains ventilation functionality. Second-row amenities include an upgraded electric tray table with auto-leveling, extended slide rails for extra legroom, and a larger control screen.The vehicle also features a steering wheel without an LCD screen, paired with a new 29-inch integrated display spanning the center console and passenger side.On the exterior, the new MEGA features an optimized front bumper structure with added trim around the air intake. Subtle adjustments have also been made to the styling of the headlight groups and cooling vents.The model rides on new flat-faced wheels available in two colors and incorporates flush door handles that meet updated national standards, complete with soft-closing doors and anti-pinch protection. Dimensions measure 5,355 mm in length, 1,965 mm in width, and 1,850 mm in height, with a 3,300 mm wheelbase — a 5 mm increase in length over the current version.For intelligent driving, the new model adds side- and rear-facing solid-state LiDARs, bringing the total count to four from one. Chassis upgrades include rear-axle steering with a range of +/- 7 degrees, an 800 V active anti-roll bar, and a steer-by-wire system across the lineup.Powertrain specs show the front motor retains a maximum output of 155 kW, while the rear motor increases from 245 kW to 258 kW, boosting total combined output to 413 kW from 400 kW. The vehicle is equipped with a CATL 108 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, delivering a pure electric range of 710 km and a top speed of 200 km/h.The debut of the next-generation MEGA marks a strategic move by Li Auto in the pure-electric MPV segment.
