Among rated companies, those achieving AAA status accounted for only 11%, while AA and A ratings represented 18% each. MSCI (Morgan Stanley Capital International) recently released its latest ESG rating results. Leapmotor has been awarded an MSCI ESG rating of AA, marking the third consecutive year the company has received this rating. It is worth supplementing that the MSCI ESG rating system aims to assess the financial risks a company faces in the environmental, social, and governance dimensions, as well as its ability to manage these risks. MSCI’s assessment gathers information by collecting data from government and non-governmental organizations, publicly disclosed information from listed companies, and daily tracking of over 1,600 media sources. The evaluation process consists of four steps: data collection, risk measurement, score assessment, and final rating. The latest rating report shows that among the companies participating in this assessment, only 11% received a AAA rating, 18% received AA, and 18% received A. This means Leapmotor’s rating places it within the top 29% of the global automotive manufacturing industry with this evaluation. The highlights extend beyond the MSCI rating. In 2024, the company participated in the EcoVadis (Supply Chain Sustainability Assessment) for the first time and secured a “Bronze” medal certification, ranking within the top 35% among over 130,000 companies across more than 180 countries/regions. ESG Rating distribution Looking at the global automotive market, apart from Leapmotor, the overall sustainable competitiveness performance of Chinese new energy vehicle manufacturers is similarly strong. In the mid-2025 ESG rating report, Li Auto and XPeng received a AAA rating (global top 9%), leading the global automotive industry; Leapmotor, along with NIO and Geely Auto, maintained an AA rating, placing them within the top 23% of global leaders. Data shows that Leapmotor’s full-year sales for 2025 reached 596,555 units, a year-on-year increase of 103%. Currently, it has over 1,800 global sales and service outlets, with more than 800 located overseas, and has entered 35 countries and regions worldwide.
