According to latest market data from CPCA, the Toyota Corolla Cross secured the tenth position with 14,510 units sold. The remaining nine spots were entirely occupied by New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), mostly Battery Energy Vehicles (BEVs). The leaderboard was topped by the Geely Geome Xingyuan (Geely E2/EX2), which claimed the championship with 32,306 units. While the Xingyuan has maintained its lead since last year, it is facing increasing pressure from Leapmotor, whose A10 (B03X) model secured second place with 26,424 units. To further capitalise on this momentum, Leapmotor is expected to launch the A05 (B03) today, a model positioned to offer even higher cost-performance than the A10. Tesla’s Model Y ranked third with 25,158 units. Notably, the Model Y remains the most expensive vehicle in the top ten, with an official guide price ranging from 263,500 yuan (38,700 USD) to 313,500 yuan (46,100 USD). The remainder of the top ten includes: Xiaomi SU7: 21,044 units (4th). While Xiaomi reported total July sales exceeding 30,000 units, this implies that last year’s hyped Xiaomi YU7 sold approximately 10,000 units during the month. Fang Cheng Bao Ti 7 (FCB Ti 7): 20,320 units (5th). These domestic sales account for nearly half of Fang Cheng Bao’s total global sales for July, which reached 41,213 units. BYD Yuan Up (Atto 2): 20,275 units (6th). Like the Geely Xingyuan, the Yuan Up is currently facing stiff competition from Leapmotor. Changan Qiyuan (Nevo) Q05: 18,871 units (7th). The Q05 stands as the only representative from a traditional Chinese state-owned automotive giant to make the top ten. Li Auto i6: 15,420 units (8th). The performance of the i6 suggests a potential cooling of the market for extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs), a segment where Li Auto originally built its success.
