But I have the same issue as I did last time.A while back, Harley-Davidson and the hunting brand Realtree partnered on a line of apparel. And, as a motorcyclist and a hunter, I felt like my worlds were colliding in some cool new thing. But the lineup left me a bit cold. Not because it wasn't good, but because I couldn't use the apparel to either go hunting or go ride. It was fashion, not technical wear. And like Michael Jordan, I took offense to that.Well, the brands are back again collaborating, and...they still haven't made technical outerwear. The Idyll is semi hunting related, but more closely resembles the sort of jacket you throw on after you return from the stand or woods and are hanging out around the campfire. And the Deflector, while meeting abrasion resistance standards, and comes with some armor for the shoulders and elbows, isn't something I'd likely wear for everyday protection to and from work. Give me more, you guys.In addition to the jackets, you've got assorted hoodies—zippered and pull-overs—in multiple patterns and Blaze Orange, hats of differing shapes and sizes, a vest for all you hip Gen Z weirdos and your love for vests, shirts, suitcases, a helmet, totes, gloves, belts, and even a gaiter. OK, maybe I'll put the gaiter and gloves in the somewhat technical outerwear, but that feels like it's pushing it.But what you can't deny is the success the two brands have seen with the collection, which makes me believe there might be a third drop in the works. Or at least beginning to be planned. Which is why I'm asking the two companies, please, please, please, make something I can use and use hard. Give me something I can go out into the cold with, brave the elements, and either get bloody, wet, or dirty, or use when I'm out for a ride.Give me the technical stuff where I could, theoretically, strap my bow to my backpack, hop onto a Pan America, head into the deer woods near Milwaukee, and come back out with a whitetail.
