Gasgoo Munich- JD.com is expanding its automotive business. On April 13, the e-commerce firm announced a partnership with DEEPAL to launch the DEEPAL L06 range-extended electric vehicle (REEV). JD.com will manage exclusive sales and digital purchasing services for the new model. Under the "People's Car 2.0" framework, customers can choose test drives at participating dealerships or request door-to-door trials in select regions, a JD.com Auto executive stated. Fuel consumption is as low as 3.46 liters per 100 km in battery-depleted mode.Lu Huan, JD.com's head of automotive marketing, stated that DEEPAL's new-energy technology and build quality align with the "People's Car" concept, targeting younger EV buyers. Safety is a priority for consumers, Lu added, covering aspects from door handles to chassis control.
