It marked the second time this year that monthly exports topped 200,000 units, setting a new single-month record for Chinese automakers. For the first three quarters, cumulative exports climbed 65.6% to 1.55 million, already surpassing the full-year total for 2025.As export growth accelerates, Chery is winning over international investors. On September 30, JPMorgan initiated coverage on Chery Automobile (9973.HK) with an "overweight" rating and a target price of 35 Hong Kong dollars. The bank cited the automaker's robust overseas exposure and solid liquidity as key drivers.Regionally, data from the UK's Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders shows Chery secured the top spot for brand sales in September for the second straight month, with 32,823 registrations. Its JAECOO 7 model led the pack with 10,813 units, claiming the top spot for monthly model sales. In highly regulated European markets, Chery sold 234,000 vehicles across 24 countries in the first eight months of the year — a 193% surge — with new-energy vehicle sales exceeding 114,000 units.According to the China Passenger Car Association, Chery Group captured a 4.4% share of global sales from January through August of 2026, ranking ninth worldwide. By the end of September, its global user base surpassed 20.73 million, including more than 7.39 million overseas customers.
