"It provides a valuable opportunity to build localized expertise in integrating sodium systems into European power grids."The TENER system, which CATL launched in late June, has a lifespan of 25 years and offers a nearly 2% improvement in round-trip efficiency, or RTE, helping lower costs over its full life cycle, CATL said.The system is also compatible with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) systems. CATL said this gives Alfen greater flexibility in choosing battery chemistries and reduces its exposure to fluctuations in lithium prices.Geely Holdings Hits Record Sales in H1Geely Holding Group achieved record-breaking total sales of 1,934,842 vehicles in the first half of 2026, marking a new historical high for the same period.Of this, sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) reached 1,100,893 units, up 10% year-on-year, accounting for 56.9% of total sales. The facility currently produces five locally manufactured models — BYD DOLPHIN, BYD ATTO 3, BYD SEAL 5 DM-i, BYD SEALION 5 DM-i, and BYD SEALION 6 DM-i — all of which have received the Made in Thailand (MiT) certification issued by the Federation of Thai Industries.Over the past two years since production began, BYD has continued to deepen its localization efforts in Thailand, achieving significant progress.
