This 5.3-meter car boasts rear-wheel steering, up to 1,008 km of electric range, and a combined peak power of 570 kW (764 hp). Another variant of its name is BYD Great Han. BYD officials disclosed that the Da Han sedan will debut in China on August 21 at the Chengdu Auto Show 2026. At the same time, this model will begin presales, revealing prices. This will be the 29th automotive exhibition in Chengdu that will take place in the Western China Expo City with an area of 220,000 square meters. The Da Han will be presented here alongside around 1,600 other cars from 120 brands. The BYD Da Han BYD previously revealed the Da Han’s official images shortly after it had applied for a sales license, exposing core specs. This vehicle is expected to cost around 300,000 yuan (44,490 USD). The Da Han boasts hefty dimensions of 5256/1999/1510 mm with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm. The BYD sedan is 66 mm longer than the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Two powertrain variants will be available for the Da Han. Its entry-level all-electric variant offers a single e-motor with a peak power of 370 kW (496 hp). Thanks to a 102.326 kWh battery pack, the single-motor Da Han can run up to 1,008 km under CLTC conditions. The top-trim AWD version of this model, with a combined peak power of 570 kW (764 hp), has the same battery for an 880 km range. The BYD Da Han flagship sedan. Credit: MIIT The plug-in hybrid Da Han DM adopts a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a peak power of 115 kW (154 hp). Its entry-level variant is paired with an electric motor for 200 kW (268 hp). This model can run up to 470 km in BEV mode, thanks to a 54.489 kWh LFP battery. There will also be a dual-motor AWD variant with two e-motors for 400 kW (536 hp). The BYD Da Han adopts rear-wheel steering, and the DiPilot 5.0 assisted driving system with a LiDAR sensor on the roof and cameras in the front fenders. All versions of this vehicle will support flash charging technology, allowing the Da Han to charge from 10% to 97% in nine minutes. More information about this flagship will be revealed shortly.
