It takes over 30% of the car’s curb weight. The Da Han EV will enter China with up to 1,008 km of range under CLTC conditions. Another variant of its name is BYD Great Han. According to the purchase tax reduction list released by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the all-electric variant of the Da Han will come standard with a 102.326 kWh LFP battery pack manufactured by BYD subsidiary FinDreams. Its electric range lies between 970 and 1,008 km under CLTC conditions, depending on the equipment. The curb weight of this version is 2,260 – 2,325 kg. The top-trim BYD Da Han AWD offers two electric motors with a combined peak power of 570 kW (764 hp). This modification has a curb weight of 2,505 kg. The electric range of the Da Han AWD is 820 – 880 km under CLTC conditions. It is worth noting that the BYD Da Han will be available for purchase with a DM-i plug-in hybrid version. It adopts a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol-powered BYD472ZQB engine with a peak power of 115 kW (154 hp) and an electric motor for 200 kW (268 hp). For clarity, the Da Han is 66 mm longer than the standard Mercedes-Benz S-Class. This model was previously seen in China during road tests without camouflage as it nears the market launch with a price of around 300,000 yuan (44,290 USD). According to China EV DataTracker, the domestic sales of the standard BYD Han reached 3,285 units in June. The more powerful Han L delivered 584 units in the same period.
