This full-size luxury model with a dual-chamber air suspension and rear-wheel steering starts at 249,900 yuan (37,170 USD). The alternative variant of this car’s name is Great Han. The BYD Da Han EV made an official debut at the 29th Chengdu Auto Show in China. It is the brand’s ultimate flagship. It aligns with the BYD’s Loong Face (Dragon Face) design language, offering thin headlights, a “Dragon Whiskers” chrome-plated panel in the front, and semi-hidden door handles. Dimensions of the Da Han are 5256/1999/1510 mm with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm. The BYD Da Han is available for order with five body colors: silver, green, red, beige, and black. Four of those shades are available with a contrast-colored roof. It rides on 20- or 21-inch rims with floating center caps that always stay upright. The Da Han adopts the DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension that increases the ground clearance by 100 mm. Another benefit of this car is rear-wheel steering, bringing the turning radius to just 4.95 meters. The BYD Da Han adopts a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor. It is a part of the DiPilot 300 (“God’s Eye B”) assisted driving system. It supports the Navigate On Autopilot (NOA) function that allows a car to drive from address to address on its own. A driver only needs to monitor the situation and to be prepared to take over. The interior of the BYD Da Han offers up to 31 speakers (25 speakers as standard) and electrochromic rear windows that can change transparency at the touch of a button. The interior trim is made of real wood. The Da Han’s dashboard adopts three screens: an LCD instrument cluster, a floating touchscreen, and a front passenger’s monitor. There is also a head-up display. It also has soft-closing doors. The biggest highlight of the Da Han EV is its powertrain. Its entry-level model adopts a single e-motor with a peak power of 370 kW (496 hp). Thanks to a 102.326 kWh battery pack, the single-motor Da Han can run up to 1,008 km under CLTC conditions. The top-trim AWD version of this model, with a combined peak power of 570 kW (764 hp), has the same battery for an 880 km range. All versions of this vehicle support flash charging technology, allowing the Da Han to charge from 10% to 97% in nine minutes. The BYD Da Han EV sedan became available for presales with three trim levels. We listed their prices below. BYD Da Han EV RWD Premium – 249,900 yuan (37,170 USD) BYD Da Han EV RWD Flagship – 269,900 yuan (40,145 USD) BYD Da Han EV AWD Flagship – 299,900 yuan (44,605 USD) The Da Han will also be available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain variant in the future. This model can run up to 470 km in BEV mode, thanks to a 54.489 kWh LFP battery. There will also be a dual-motor AWD variant with two e-motors for 400 kW (536 hp).
