22 Photos Of Crazy 1970s Muscle Car Paint Jobs

For some people, a snazzy muscle car isn’t enough. They need to jazz it up with a crazy paint job, whether it’s psychedelic patterns, scorching flames, or just a bunch of different colors. Sometimes it looks totally awesome, and other times… well, not so much.

These pics are from an era where art and cars had a whole lot of overlap. In the 1970s, people made cars that were worth spending hundreds of hours painstakingly painting. There’s no point in painting the hood of your car when you can dent it just by sitting on it.

Take a look at some of the most out-there paint jobs on muscle cars from the 70s. Some of these are absolutely beautiful, and others will make you want to scream. It’s up to you to decide which is which.
