Porsche is expanding its electric SUV lineup with the addition of the 2026 Cayenne Coupe Electric, but will continue to offer gas and plug-in hybrid variants alongside it.The new model borrows generously from Porsche’s styling playbook, with its coupe-like roofline echoing that of a 911 and giving the Cayenne Coupe a lower, more aggressive stance than its standard SUV counterpart. The roofline drops just under an inch compared to the Cayenne Electric SUV. Porsche says that small a change gives the Coupe a drag coefficient of 0.23.Other design details include a flush rear window, adaptive spoiler, and high-gloss black trim, while the overall proportions emphasize width and a planted stance. Porsche says Coupe variants accounted for 40 percent of Cayenne sales in the US last year. But under that swoopy sheetmetal, the Coupe Electric mirrors the standard SUV’s hardware, with 800-volt architecture, all-wheel drive, and adaptive air suspension across the lineup. Porsche says the base Cayenne Coupe Electric delivers 435 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque, good for a 0-60 mph time of 4.5 seconds, while the up-trim the Cayenne S Coupe Electric ups those numbers to 657 hp and a 3.6-second sprint. The top Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric model pushes into supercar territory with up to 1,139 hp and a claimed 0-60 time of just 2.4 seconds.2026 Cayenne Coupe Electric With a 113-kWh battery and support for up to 400-kW DC fast charging, Porsche says the Cayenne Coupe Electric can charge from 10 to 80 percent in under 16 minutes under ideal conditions. A native NACS port is standard, along with a CCS adapter for broader compatibility.Inside, again, the Coupe differs little from the regular Cayenne Electric SUV, but Porsche includes the Sport Chrono package and a panoramic glass roof as standard. Buyers can opt for a Lightweight Sport Package that adds a carbon-fiber roof, performance tires, and motorsport-inspired interior touches, which shave nearly 40 pounds of heft. Pricing starts at $113,800 for the base model and climbs to $168,000 for the Turbo Coupe Electric. Deliveries are expected to begin in late summer 2026.Autoweek SOC EV Newsletter sign up
