Despite signs to the contrary, Porsche is keeping the accelerator pinned when it comes to electric vehicles. Today, the automaker announced three additional versions of its flagship SUV: the 2026 Cayenne Coupe Electric, Cayenne S Coupe Electric, and Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric, differentiated from their siblings by nature of a fastback roofline that trades absolute cargo capacity for a sleek, 911-inspired silhouette. An Electric Choptop Charmer As its name suggests, the 2026 Cayenne Coupe Electric follows a similar formula to the internal-combustion fastback SUV that's been available since the 2021 model year: Take everything from the beltline down from the existing model, then attach a sloping roof that borrows the "flyline" of its sports car sibling. That means the same expansive wheelbase as the regular Cayenne Electric, draped with squinting headlights, a sculpted front fascia, chiseled rocker panel trim, and skinny full-width taillamps. But the roof has been chopped by 0.9 inches, with everything from the windshield to the adaptive rear spoiler specific to the coupe model.2026 Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric Exterior 3The sleeker roofline does indeed ape the iconic 911, with rounded rear quarter windows that are dead ringers for the two-door coupe. Meanwhile, thanks to its lower stance, the Cayenne Coupe Electric has an improved drag coefficient of 0.23, down from the regular Cayenne EV's 0.25. The fastback uses all the same aero tricks as its more conventionally shaped sibling, including vented cooling flaps in the front grille, the aforementioned spoiler, and active extending side blades that protrude from the rear bumper corners. Weapons-Grade Performance Potential The sleek coupe will be available in all the same trim levels as its sibling. The base Cayenne Coupe Electric, which will come with a $113,800 starting price plus $2,350 destination, will feature a dual-motor powertrain with 435 combined horsepower and 615 pound-feet, good for a 0-60 sprint of 4.5 seconds. If that's not quick enough, the $131,200 Cayenne S Electric fastback will chop 0.9 seconds off that time, courtesy of an uprated pair of motors that put out 657 hp and 796 lb-ft. The four-figure top dog is once again the Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric, whose earth-reversing 1,139 horses and 1,106 torques come with a $168,000 starting price, a top speed of 162 miles per hour, and a 60-mph sprint of 2.4 seconds. The EV will also come standard with a four-corner, two-chamber air suspension with adaptive damping, and the Sport Chrono package will come standard, bringing launch control and that all-important dashboard stopwatch to the game. As on the Cayenne Electric SUV, rear-axle steering is an option on all three models, while the two more performance-oriented trims also offer Porsche Active Ride, an electrohydraulic suspension that eliminates body roll and couteracts pitch under braking and acceleration. Sophisticated active torque vectoring is also an option on the S and Turbo.2026 Porsche Cayenne S Coupe Electric Exterior 4 Taking Decisive Charge Given the mechanical similarity identicalness between the Cayenne Electric's coupe and SUV siblings, it'll surprise no one to learn that the latest variant also retains the Porsche E4 modular platform with an 800-volt electrical system, 400-kilowatt maximum DC charge rate, and 113-kilowatt-hour battery. In perfect conditions, the Cayenne Coupe Electric's battery will go from 10 to 80 percent in about 15 minutes. A NACS charging port and CCS adapter are standard on the Porsche. The automaker hasn't released range estimates for either the coupe or the SUV, but we anticipate them to hit around 330 miles when driven in the manner of an EPA regulator.2026 Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric Exterior Studio 1If you're in love with the latest fastback Porsche SUV, you won't have to wait long.
