The system supports 92, 95, and 98 octane gasoline, with Xiaomi listing a minimum WLTC-depleted fuel consumption figure of 5.7 L/100 km. Kunlun Range Extender revealed Xiaomi Auto confirmed that the Skynomad series will use the new Xiaomi Kunlun Range Extender ahead of its July 30 technical presentation. The event will introduce Xiaomi Kunlun Architecture, including the Kunlun platform, the Kunlun Super Range Extender, and the Kunlun All-Domain Safety systems. The range extender uses a 1.5T M15DRE engine developed with Harbin Dongan Auto Engine (东安动力) and produces a maximum output of 112 kW. Xiaomi states that the system supports 92, 95 and 98 octane gasoline. The automaker lists a minimum WLTC-depleted fuel consumption figure of 5.7 L/100 km. The range extender and three-electric system are covered by an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty, while maintenance after the initial service is scheduled once every three years or 30,000 km. A July 11 report covered two Skynomad crossover models after core specifications appeared in China, while a July 23 report detailed the N90’s 2+2+3 seating layout. The latest disclosures include Xiaomi’s own information on the Kunlun Range Extender, N90 Max testing, and the upcoming technical presentation. N90 Max passes 60,000 km test Xiaomi founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun also disclosed test results for a Skynomad N90 Max prototype. The vehicle, identified as KV235, began road testing in January 2026 and has travelled more than 60,000 km over six months. According to Lei Jun, the test vehicle travelled through Beijing, Shenyang, Changchun, Hulunbuir, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Haikou, Sanya, Nanning, and Kunming. Detailed testing data and performance results have not been released. Regulatory filings list the Skynomad N90 Max at 5,285 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width and 1,825 mm in height, with a 3,080 mm wheelbase. A camping version listed in regulatory documents has a height of 1,925 mm. The filing shows five-seat and 2+2+3 seven-seat configurations. The N90 Max uses the 1.5T range extender producing 112 kW, combined with dual electric motors rated at 210 kW and 100 kW. A 76 kWh battery pack is listed, with WLTC pure-electric range figures of 363–370 km. The smaller Skynomad N70 Max, which offers a four-wheel-drive dual-motor configuration, measures 4,960 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width and 1,765 mm in height, with a 2,950 mm wheelbase. Regulatory documents list five-seat seating, single-motor and dual-motor configurations, and 52 kWh and 76 kWh battery options. The N70 Max’s regulatory filing lists electric range figures of 265–270 km and 375–380 km depending on configuration. The applicable testing cycle for these figures has not been clarified in the available information. Xiaomi Auto reaches 34,738 June sales The Skynomad lineup serves as Xiaomi Auto’s second core product series, adding range-extended SUVs alongside its existing pure-electric models, the SU7 sedan and YU7 SUV. According to China EV DataTracker data, Xiaomi Auto recorded 34,738 vehicle sales during the month, up 6.0% from May and 36.4% year on year. The company held a 2.2% market share in the domestic market. The Xiaomi SU7 recorded 20,414 units in June, accounting for 58.8% of Xiaomi Auto’s model sales. The Xiaomi YU7 reached 14,324 units, representing 41.2% of the company’s model sales. Compared with May, SU7 sales declined 15.0%, while YU7 sales increased 64.0%. On a year-on-year basis, SU7 sales declined 12.1%, while YU7 sales increased 541.2%. The Skynomad series is still in pre-launch. Xiaomi is expected to provide additional information during the July 30 Kunlun Architecture presentation, while pricing, final configurations and delivery timing have not been announced.
