Its official Chinese name is Xiaomi Pengcheng (小米澎程). The first model for the new brand is the N90 full-size SUV with an EREV powertrain. Xiaomi Auto changed the Chinese car industry in 2024 by launching the SU7 electric sedan and proving that even a newcomer can secure a substantial market share. Later, the company launched the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra sports car and the Xiaomi YU7 crossover. It was also revealed that Xiaomi Auto will introduce an EREV crossover to the market in 2026. On July 8, Xiaomi Auto officially confirmed that its EREV lineup will hit the market under the Xiaomi Sky Nomad brand. The company launched the official brand’s page in WeChat. It is a full-size SUV with a 1.5-liter turbocharged range extender under the hood. It doesn’t transfer any torque directly to the wheels, sending power to electric motors and a battery. This EREV will offer a pack with a capacity of above 70 kWh, suitable for 400 – 500 km of EV range. The mixed range of the Sky Nomad N90 exceeds 1,500 km. The Xiaomi Sky Nomad N90 is a large car with a length of 5.3 meters and a wheelbase of 3.1 meters. It is expected to be available for purchase with five- and seven-seat interior layouts.
