Toyota recalls more than 43K Tundra trucks due to engine concernsThe recall applies to certain 2024 Toyota Tundra trucks equipped with a V35A engine because debris “from the manufacturing process may contaminate the engine and cause a main bearing to fail, which can result in an engine stall and loss of drive power,” NHTSA wrote.An estimated 1 percent of the 43,566 trucks potentially involved have the defect, per the Safety Recall Report.Officials say the remedy is in development, and once ready, repairs will be performed free of charge.
