Powering the new Marsien GT is a twin-turbo six from RUF with 830 hp. The Marsien GT is a more road-focused version of the Marsien from five years ago. A lightweight carbon fiber skin helps to keep weight down and boost performance. Five years ago, Marc Philipp Gemballa unveiled its wild 911 Turbo S-based Marsien, built as the ultimate off-road-focused sports car, just as comfortable on a tight and twisty trail as it was speeding across sand dunes. With customer deliveries of that car now well underway, the small carmaker has unveiled its new Marsien GT in Monterey. The GT is very similar to the car presented in 2021, but crucially, it’s focused on road performance, not inspired by the Paris-Dakar rally. The GT’s design is therefore very similar to the original, although we’d argue it looks even better as a road car than it does as a desert racer. Read: Marc Philipp Gemballa’s Marsien Is An 830 HP, $700k Off-Road Porsche 911 All exterior panels are made from lightweight carbon fiber, and MP Gembella has added active front fender louvers, an active rear wing, ram air intakes, side skirt intakes, and an active rear wing. Compared to a regular 992-generation 911 Turbo S, the Marsien GT weighs 165 lbs (75 kg) less. Then there’s the engine. Marc Philipp Gembella again turned to RUF to power the Marsien GT, which now rocks an upgraded twin-turbocharged flat-six, rated at 830 hp and 686 lb-ft (930 Nm) of torque. Soon, an upgrade package with over 900 hp will be available. Working alongside a PDK transmission and all-wheel drive, the car needs just 2.4 seconds to hit 60 mph (96 km/h), and it won’t stop accelerating until 205 mph (330 km/h). KW Suspension, Akrapovic Exhaust The car’s suspension setup has been developed in partnership with KW and includes double-wishbones with electronically controlled dampers which continuously adjust compression and rebound. A front-axle nose lift is also included, as is a full titanium exhaust developed by Akrapovic. All Marsien GT models, of which just 30 units will be built, include 20- and 21-inch forged aluminum wheels with center locks and wrapped in chunky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, measuring 275/35 at the front and 335/30 at the rear. No project from Marc Philipp Gemballa would be complete without a special interior, and that’s exactly what the Marsien GT has. Not only is it trimmed in plenty of leather or Alcantara, depending on the buyer’s preference, but it includes a raised center console and shifter just like the legendary Porsche Carrera GT. There’s also plenty of carbon fiber throughout, including on the seats. Production of the Marsien GT is scheduled to start in 2027 with prices kicking off from €770,000 ($889,000), excluding the price of the donor 911 Turbo or 911 Turbo S used. In the States, a new 911 Turbo S starts from $270,300.
