Your Veyron Can Now Be Remade Better Than NewBugattiIt may be hard to believe, but the Bugatti Veyron is now 20 years old. When it was released, it rewrote the performance car rulebook, with more than 1000 horsepower and a top speed north of 250 miles per hour being the headline figures that grabbed the attention of the world. But time moves on, with the Chiron and now the Tourbillon taking its place in showrooms—and it seems Bugatti realizes even its original 21st Century hypercar can benefit from a bit of a refresh. On Thursday, Bugatti offered up a taste of what that can look like, with the La Maison Pur Sang Veyron 20 Years. The project was created through Bugatti's La Maison Pur Sang certification and restoration program, which can preserve cars exactly as they left the factory ... or reimagine them for the present day.BugattiThe Veyron is painted in two colors borrowed from other models: the Rouge Rembrandt red comes from the Tourbillon, which shares space with the Chiron's Petrol Blue to create a stunning two-tone combination. Inside, Magnolia leather gives the cabin a considerably different appearance from what was available when the Veyron was new. There's also bespoke Mocassin stitching on the steering wheel and gear selector, a 20 Years of Veyron emblem between the seats, and a Côte de Genève finish on the center console inspired by high-end mechanical watches.BugattiA subtle but important change is also hiding in plain sight at the corners of this refreshed Veyron, in that the car's classic "Machiavelli" wheel design has been updated. The wheels up front are now 20 inches in diameter, while they are 21 inches in diameter at the rear. This allows the Veyron to use tires in the Chiron's sizes, while still retaining the classic Veyron look.BugattiAnother change that you may miss at first glance are the new three-dimensional mesh elements on the front, side, and rear air intakes. This change is to give the car a more modern look, but without radically altering the Veyron's unmistakable shape and design. We're sure other Bugatti owners will take their own remade Veyrons in all sorts of directions, but this first one-off example of what the company can do with its modern-day classic certainly creates a promising jumping-off point. You Might Also LikeIf You Can Only Own One Car, Make It One of TheseThese Are the Most Popular Cars by State
