Image Credit: biggerjohn_ via TikTokA man in Atlanta, Georgia, excited at the prospect of getting some new wheels, decided to visit a local car auction. He was horrified by the state of the cars on sale, and the internet agreed with his sentiment, even going as far as providing outlandish explanations for how the vehicles ended up in such bad shape. The borderline disturbing car auction attempted shopping spree was shared online by John Egbe, also known as Big John. He is an automotive content creator and is a used car salesman who also runs the ab.autosells online account. As part of their job, used car salesmen such as John frequently visit car auctions in an effort to find vehicles they can flip after maintenance. As such, he visited the auction in question after checking that a 2010 Chevy Camaro and a 2017 Nissan Sentra were listed for sale.AdvertisementAdvertisementAnd while he intended to buy affordable second-hand vehicles, he instead came across a nightmare evening. He called it the "auction of doom and despair."Camaron'tExcited, John first checked on the aforementioned Chevy Camaro. He checked on the car's state and immediately noticed a few bumps. The Georgia man wasn't particularly excited about the one in the quarter panel. He said, "I mean... Ah, I don't know about that, but let's see if it goes for cheap."No discount would ever convince John of purchasing the Camaro, though. As soon as he hopped into the driver's seat and started the engine, a very noticeable and loud clicking engine noise forced the salesman out of the Camaro.AdvertisementAdvertisement"Ah, never mind. They can keep that," he said, shutting the Chevy's door behind him.Nissan, No SonUp next, John checked on the Nissan Sentra. He hoped that he was going to be a bit luckier with that one, but things unraveled pretty fast. From the get-go, the Nissan had no front passenger door handle. But the worst part of it was the cleanliness, or lack thereof, of the car seats.Still, John had hopes for the car, as he "knew a guy" who could potentially bring those seats back to life. And after John reluctantly saw the car from the inside, he knew the car was beyond saving. There were multiple stains on the headliner fabric that perhaps reminded him of a certain Pulp Fiction scene. One viewer even commented, "Someone DIED in that second car."Can't A-Ford ItDefeated, the man had one last chance at leaving the place with a not-so-brand-new car. A 2019 Ford Fusion was his only hope.AdvertisementAdvertisementHis hopes, however, were quickly extinguished. The sun visor was hanging down, and the windshield was cracked. Still, he hoped that his scanner would tell him some good news about the car's mechanical state. There was bad news instead. The scanner read that the Ford had an engine coolant pump overspeed fault, something that shocked John, as he had never seen a code like that before.Empty-handed, the Georgia second-hand car salesman left the auction. Hopefully, he will have better luck next time, and much fewer cars that look like crime scenes. If you want more stories like this, follow Guessing Headlights on Yahoo so you don't miss what's coming next.
