Classic Design And Modern Power

This Corvette restomod brings together more than six decades of Corvette performance innovation. Its sleek wide-body design is finished in Carbon Flash metallic paint, a striking color that appears deep black from afar and reveals a subtle metallic shimmer up close. Subtle carbon-fiber exterior touches can be found on the exterior.
Inside, the Corvette features a red, two-seat cockpit. Classic bucket seats, loop carpeting, and matching door panels preserve the essence of the mid-1960s Sting Ray design. Meanwhile, vintage air climate control and a custom stereo system offer modern comfort and entertainment, hidden behind classic design. A wood-rim sport steering wheel, classic instruments gauges, a center shift console, and aluminum controls further refine the car’s driver-focused interior.

Beneath the hood, a 6.2-liter supercharged LS9 V8 engine delivers an impressive 550 horsepower. Built by Speed Sports in Gilbert, Arizona, the mill is paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Dry-sump lubrication ensures optimal oil management during aggressive driving, while a 24-gallon fuel tank provides enough fuel for those weekend leisure trips.
The wide body of this Corvette is supported by an SRIII Motorsports round-tube chassis, incorporating a mix of C6 and C8 Corvette components. Power steering is on board, while Corvette C8-sourced carbon ceramic disc brakes with silver calipers provide the stopping power. The restomod rides on Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

This heavily modified 1965 Corvette will go under the hammer during Mecum Auctions' Glendale 2025 auction on March 22. We don't know how much it will fetch, but Corvettes from the 1965 model year usually sell for around $100,000 in stock form, according to Classic.com. Considering the upgrades on this one and its exclusivity, we expect it to be sold for more than that figure.
