The Chevrolet Traverse offers a copious amount of interior space for the money, with adult-friendly third-row space and an enormous cargo area when all the seats are folded flat. At $41,100 for the base model, you won't easily find a more practical vehicle for the price, but Chevy will soon introduce another affordable Traverse option. Aimed specifically at lease customers, the new model is based on the LT but strips away some options to keep the price down while simplifying the leasing process. Here's what buyers can expect to pay.Traverse Becomes Simpler To Lease2027 Chevrolet Traverse LTChevroletThe affordable Chevy Traverse model will be identified by the 1SL (front-wheel drive) or 2SL (all-wheel drive) equipment groups, but they'll still be badged as LT trims. According to GM Authority, the new variant will be available to order from October 15.Buyers will not have many options to choose from, with just three exterior colors on the menu: Mosaic Black metallic, Sterling Gray Metallic, and Summit White. The only other option is the drivetrain, so these customers will not have access to the regular LT's metallic paints, Midnight/Sport Edition package, standalone features like a sunroof, and numerous safety packages. It also means that this lease special will be restricted to the seven-seater layout, not the optional eight-seater configuration.GM will limit production of the 1SL and 2SL to 13% of all LT-badged models. Buyers who want more customization can still order the regular LT as before; the lease special will not be marketed as a new trim level.Related: Chevy Traverse LT vs High Country: Why the $15,000 Price Gap MattersHow Much Will It Cost?2027 Chevrolet Traverse LTChevroletPricing for the new Traverse variant is expected to match the regular 2027 LT, which is currently available to lease from $509 per month over 36 months. That's based on $6,943 due at signing and a mileage limit of 30,000 miles; Chevy will charge $0.25 per mile if customers exceed this limit. This is a California deal, so buyers are encouraged to check for alternative offers in their area using their unique zip code.If ordering the regular LT without limitations, buyers can add options like the Enhanced Driving Package with Super Cruise ($5,330, bundled with other extras), a panoramic power sunroof ($1,700), wheels up to 22 inches in size ($2,750), and imitation leather upholstery ($1,000). Buyers with more to spend may be interested in the Traverse High Country, with this top trim receiving a more refined appearance for 2027.The Traverse comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged four-cylinder engine as standard, which produces 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque. All trims use this engine and they all share an eight-speed automatic, too.As we've covered previously, it may be worth skipping the 2027 Traverse model year, though. The 2027 model is expected to see a shorter production run ahead of an expected mid-cycle facelift for 2028.Related: The 2027 Chevy Traverse May Be the Model Year to Skip
