The GWM Haval H6 HEV has been officially listed in the ASEAN Records for achieving the longest range on a single tank of fuel, while also having the most verified owners exceed 1,000 km, all under real-world driving conditions.
For the first part of the record, a Haval H6 HEV managed to cover a verified distance of 1,242 km on a single tank of fuel as part of a nationwide fuel endurance challenge. This was achieved by one of 38 Havel H6 HEV owners that took part in a nationwide fuel endurance challenge, with all participants managing over 1,000 km – the second part. According to GWM Malaysia, this marks the first time a hybrid SUV in ASEAN has accomplished such a feat through genuine, everyday usage.
“This isn’t just a technical breakthrough, it’s a real-world endorsement of how far the HAVAL H6 HEV can take Malaysians. It reflects the essence of our new direction: to elevate the everyday drive through proven innovation,” said Cui Anqi, managing director of GWM Malaysia. To celebrate the occasion, the Haval H6 HEV has been given a new tagline: Elevate Your Everyday.
The H6 HEV was launched in Malaysia in October 2024 and is priced at RM139,800 on-the-road without insurance. Locally assembled (CKD) here, the hybrid SUV features a 61-litre fuel tank, a GW4B15D 1.5 litre turbocharged inline-four petrol engine, an electric motor and a two-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT), with the total system output being 243 PS and 530 Nm of torque.
