Gotta Catch 'Em All: Bugatti's Four Starter Tourbillons
After the first special package for the Bugatti Tourbillon, the $240,000 Equipe Pur Sang, leaked last month, we knew it was only a matter of time before more surfaced. Now they're here, leaked from the Tourbillon configurator tool.
Bugatti will offer four standard configurations for the car, before it opens up the door to almost endless custom options for its discerning buyers. Here they are, including Signature, Classique, Sportive, and Extraordinaire.

Four Standard Specs Help Billionaire Buyers Avoid Decision Fatigue
The folks at bugattitourbillon.registry on Instagram got hold of the details from the configurator, and we're very glad they did because each one of these car specs is wonderful in its own way.
We'll start with Signature, which is effectively the cover car spec Tourbillon. This is the one you've seen on the company's site. A two-tone blue exterior with a darker shade at the band and star-shaped wheels with a polished finish. The inside largely matches, with the same two-tone in the cabin. Basic, elegant, and both clearly Bugatti but also an evolution from the Chiron and Veyron.
Classique is a stark contrast to the bold blues of Signature. It comes with metallic beige and exposed carbon fiber, with much thinner Y-spoke wheels. The inside continues the beige theme and adds gray instead of carbon fiber. An amazingly intricate pattern on the doors and seats helps add to the feeling of superiority that comes with this car.
Sportive changes the two-tone split. Instead of changing at the Bugatti C-shape, this is a more traditional over-under split. The top is light gray, the bottom is matte-finish exposed carbon. Blue wheels make the car stand out where the paint fades away. Inside, the Sportive is finished in all black. It showcases Alcantara instead of leather, and has blue embroidery that matches the contrast of the wheels.
Last, but certainly not least, is Extraordinaire. What looks like solid paint is actually exposed carbon with a blue-tinted clear topcoat. The bright wheels and silver trim make the car pop on the outside. On the inside is two-tone white and blue upholstery. The seats and door panels show an intricate diamond pattern, but it's different than the Classique's.

Extraordinaire also wears the Bugatti dancing elephant on the headrests. The elephant was the hood ornament mascot of vintage Bugatti and was based on a sculpture by Rembrandt. Not that Rembrandt, though, this was Ettore's younger brother.

See How Bugatti Bends The Air To Its Will Creating Hypercars Like No Other
Bugatti learned a lot about going faster than ever by experimenting with air.
Whichever spec you pick, you'll get the same performance. An 8.3-liter V16 (yes, that's a vee and not a W), and three electric motors put down 1,800 horsepower. An eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, torque-vectoring all-wheel drive, and a top speed somewhere north of 270 mph make sure that this car is as much about performance as it is luxury. Which you should expect when the price starts north of $4 million.
