The car is currently going by the name of Project 50, so at launch it could be the McLaren P50. It will follow on from the W1 hypercar, which has earned overwhelmingly positive reviews since McLaren launched it.The P50, however, could take things to the next level. The W1 already costs $2 million, making it a very expensive machine. But the new P50 could cost more, well over $2 million, and with fewer than 100 likely to be built, it will also be highly exclusive. The Supercar Blog offered a few precious details on the new car, but looking around, the rumors do look to have some truth behind them.Enthusiasts on the McLaren Life forums have been talking about a possible three-pedal McLaren hypercar for months. On the German Car Forum, insiders have actually been speculating about the P50 since early 2026.
