The company previously confirmed the YU7 GT will officially debut later this month as the performance-focused version of the YU7 lineup. According to Xiaomi Auto, the YU7 GT is positioned as a “pure-blood GT” performance SUV designed for both high-speed driving and long-distance touring. Xiaomi claims the SUV delivers up to 990 hp, a top speed of 300 km/h, and a CLTC-rated electric range of 705 km. Close-up of the Xiaomi YU7 GT front spoiler and aggressive lower aero design. Nürburgring development The latest official images continue Xiaomi’s earlier Nürburgring-focused promotion campaign for the model. The YU7 GT was previously spotted testing at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in Germany, including a red-painted prototype with GT decals and an aggressive aerodynamic package. We previously reported that undisguised YU7 GT prototypes appeared at the Nürburgring in March, featuring a large rear spoiler, widened bodywork, and track-oriented aero components. Earlier factory sightings also showed multiple YU7 GT units parked outside Xiaomi’s production facility ahead of launch preparations. Xiaomi said the YU7 GT features a “warhorse stance” design with a long front hood and wide body proportions. The automaker also stated the SUV underwent Nürburgring-based chassis tuning. The Nürburgring has become a recurring reference point for Xiaomi’s performance vehicle marketing after the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra recorded a 6:22.091 lap at the circuit in 2025, becoming the third-fastest production car at Nürburgring at the time, according to Xiaomi. Performance SUV positioning GT stands for Gran Turismo, an Italian term traditionally associated with high-performance touring vehicles combining speed, long-range capability, and luxury-oriented driving characteristics. The YU7 GT is expected to become Xiaomi’s highest-performance SUV to date. Our earlier reports on filing and testing information indicated output figures of approximately 990 hp. Xiaomi has not yet released full specifications, battery details, or pricing for the YU7 GT.
