The model’s most prominent claim is a drag coefficient of 0.196 Cd, placing it among the lowest reported figures for production-intent sedans. The exterior adopts a streamlined four-door coupe silhouette with a fastback roofline and minimal surface interruptions. A closed-off front fascia, full-width LED light bar, hidden door handles, and aerodynamic wheels all contribute to airflow optimisation. At the rear, a continuous light strip and subtle ducktail spoiler reinforce the aerodynamic theme. Powertrain and chassis direction The Arrizo X is built around Chery’s Kunpeng 2.0T turbocharged engine paired with an in-house 8AT gearbox, indicating continued development of internal combustion and hybrid-compatible platforms rather than a shift to pure electric architecture. Chery also previews a CDC electromagnetic suspension system capable of adaptive damping adjustments based on road preview data. This positions the concept as a technology demonstrator for chassis intelligence rather than a near-production model. A solid-state battery version has been discussed in Chinese media, but no official confirmation or technical specifications were provided at the event. Rear light bar and subtle spoiler emphasise airflow efficiency. Smart cabin and driver assistance Inside, the Arrizo X introduces the Lingxi 3.0 smart cockpit, centred on voice interaction with “see-and-speak” capability. The system is supported by a high-compute automotive chip designed for millisecond-level response. Driver assistance is handled by the Falcon 700 ADAS suite, described as a full-scenario system built on an end-to-end large model architecture. Chery did not disclose hardware details such as sensor configuration or computing power. Positioning within Arrizo lineup The Arrizo X sits above the recently revealed Arrizo S, which is closer to production and emphasises performance with a 192 kW (261 PS) turbocharged output and a body length of approximately 5 meters. In contrast, the Arrizo X functions purely as a concept, focusing on aerodynamics, design language, and future technology integration. Industry push The Arrizo X appears alongside a broader expansion of Chery’s lineup at the Beijing Auto Show, including the Tiggo X flagship SUV, Jetour T8, and Exeed EX9, reflecting a coordinated push into higher-end segments across multiple brands. Data context According to China EV DataTracker, Chery’s domestic sales were 112,884 units in the first half of 2026, down 26.4% year-on-year, with a market share at 2.7%. This follows 300,710 units in the second half of 2025, which declined 32.2% YoY, indicating ongoing volume pressure despite expanded product launches. Chery sales in China. Credit: Chna EV DataTracker
