As reported by Yiche, the cabin features a dual-master layout, anchored by a “Commander” driver’s seat and a “L·A·D·Y” front passenger seat. The driver’s position is designed to provide an elevated, commanding view of the road, enhancing both the sense of control and safety. The L·A·D·Y passenger seat is offering 1,200 mm of legroom – enough for passengers up to 1.9 meters tall to stretch out as if in a first-class cabin. This space is complemented by a full-width remote display, gentle airflow climate control, British manor-inspired fragrance, and private storage compartments. The vehicle comes standard with physical buttons featuring the “Paris Stud” (Clous de Paris) pattern, a technique derived from high-end watchmaking. The interior also features “Optical-Grade Dual Floating Crystal” knobs, crafted from K9 optical crystal with 144 precision-cut facets, illuminated by 256-colour dual-ring ambient lighting. The dashboard adopts a “T-shaped Bridge” layout, integrating a 46.3-inch 8K panoramic remote display with a 15.6-inch LED central control screen to streamline interaction and improve visual comfort. Technologically, the Freelander 8 comes standard across the lineup with the Huawei Qiankun ADS 5.0 intelligent driving system and is among the first globally to feature the latest-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8397 automotive-grade chip. Built on an 800V high-voltage platform, the SUV also debuts a specialised all-terrain Freevoy range-extender/hybrid battery, developed in partnership with CATL, alongside the Huawei-developed i-ATS intelligent all-terrain system. This month, Jaguar Land Rover has ceased the purchase of all domestically produced models by its dealership network, marking the end of an era for the brand in the world’s largest automotive market. Meanwhile, JLR’s factory is being used to produce Freelander models developed in collaboration between Chery and JLR, with the Freelander 8 being the first. This model is slated for a Chinese debut in the second half of 2026. The official interior photos shared by Chery-JLR.
