BYD recently completed delivery of its 10,000th new energy vehicle in Cambodia, with the milestone vehicle being the Fangchengbao Ti 7. The achievement marks BYD’s first time surpassing the 10,000-unit threshold in the Cambodian market, six years after entering the country. BYD officially entered Cambodia in 2020, when local partner Hramony Auto opened the company’s first 4S dealership and began vehicle sales operations. Starting in 2022, BYD gradually gained traction in the local market following the launch of the ATTO 3 (marketed as Yuan Plus in China). BYD models in Cambodia To date, BYD has introduced more than 10 models in Cambodia, covering multiple segments ranging from compact city cars to MPVs, as well as both BEV and PHEV models. Among them, the Seagull, ATTO 3 and Sealion 5/6 serve as the company’s core volume-selling models, while the Han, Tang, M9 (marketed in China as the Denza D9) and Ti 7 support the brand’s move into higher-end segments. The Ti 7, which became BYD’s 10,000th delivered vehicle in Cambodia, is also one of the company’s key new models being promoted in overseas markets. In China, the Ti 7 EV Flash-Charge Edition was launched at the end of April with two variants starting from RMB 199,800 ($29,390). BYD’s 10,000th NEV delivery ceromony in Cambodia The vehicle is equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and flash-charging technology. Official figures show the model offers a maximum range of 755 km and supports ultra-fast charging from 10% to 97% in just nine minutes. Notably, BYD is also advancing localization efforts in Cambodia. At the end of April last year, construction officially began on BYD’s new energy passenger vehicle factory in Sihanoukville Province. BYD’s NEV plant in Cambodia The facility is Cambodia’s first new energy passenger vehicle plant. Phase one is planned with annual production capacity of 10,000 vehicles and will operate under a CKD assembly model. From a sales perspective, BYD’s growth pace in Cambodia has been relatively rapid. In January this year, during the opening of the Harmony Auto ICAR BYD and Denza dual-brand flagship center in Phnom Penh, the company disclosed that in the fourth quarter of 2025, BYD had ranked first among all automotive brands in Cambodia with monthly sales exceeding 700 units for three consecutive months.
