Gasgoo Munich-BYD’s Thailand factory rolled its 100,000th new-energy vehicle off the line on Sept. 21, marking the milestone with a delivery event attended by the local team, new owners, media, and guests. The landmark vehicle was a BYD ATTO 3 — the brand’s first model introduced in Thailand, spanning its journey from entering the market to manufacturing cars locally.Photo credit: BYDOn the localization front, Thai nationals make up 95% of the plant’s workforce, and roughly half of its procurement is sourced locally. Five models have already earned "Made in Thailand" certification.
