Moreover, this 5.4-meter model with flash charging offers a Snowcrest interior package with some mountain artworks for 300,000 yuan (44,445 USD) extra. Its price equals three entry-level BYD Dolphins. Yangwang is the luxury brand under BYD aimed mostly at patriotic Chinese businessmen. It launched the six-seat U8L SUV in September 2025, priced at 1,280,000 yuan (189,630 USD). According to China EV DataTracker, 831 units of the U8L were sold in China from January to June 2026. For clarity, the U8L is 17 mm longer than the Cadillac Escalade. It is a range extender, powered by a 2-liter turbocharged engine. This ICE sends energy to a 56.58 kWh Blade 2.0 battery that supports flash charging. The mixed range reaches 1,000 km. The BYD U8L adopts four electric motors powering each wheel with a combined output of 880 kW (1,180 hp). The peak torque of the system reaches 1,280 Nm. Its zero-to-hundred acceleration is 3.6 seconds. Other highlights include the Disus-P hydraulic suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes. The U8L adopts a front badge made of 24K genuine gold. The second-row seats adopt two independent chairs divided by a massive center tunnel with a 7-inch screen, two cup holders, wireless phone charging, and hidden compartments. The car’s seats boast zero-gravity mode, power leg rests, 18-point massage, and soft cushions on the headrests. There is also a 21.4-inch screen in the ceiling. Four interior color schemes are available: golden, purple, orange, and brown. The center console adopts a 23.6-inch instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch portrait-oriented driver’s touchscreen, and a 23.6-inch monitor for the front passenger. For this price, the U8L’s owners will get a unique interior color scheme with handmade mountain artworks on the center tunnel, headrests, dashboard, rocker panels, door cards, and pillars. The total price of the U8L with the Snowcrest package included reaches 1,758,000 yuan (260,445 USD). So, BYD adopts the Rolls-Royce manner of pricing.
