If you have enough money, you really can have it all.Take, for example, the latest commission being worked on by Bugatti’s new Programme Solitare team. According to a new report from The Supercar Blog, the French marque’s coachbuilding division is hard at work on a one-off that is a mashup of its Bolide (above) and Tourbillon hypercars.More from Robb ReportMichter's Beloved 10-Year-Old Single Barrel Rye Whiskey Is BackThis $4.4 Million Bay Area Home Was Once a Recording Studio for Janis Joplin and Jerry GarciaZenith Just Dropped a Pair of U.S.A.-Themed ChronographsAdvertisementAdvertisementNews that Bugatti is already at work on its Programme Solitare model shows that its well-heeled customers are clearly interested in even more exclusive vehicles to choose from. The new hypercar will be the third project from Programme Solitare, following the debut Brouillard, which was unveiled during last year’s Monterey Car Week, and the F.K.P. Hommage, which was shown off earlier this year.Bugatti TourbillonBugatti Automobiles S.A.SDetails, unsurprisingly, are close to non-existent at this point. An unnamed source tells the website that they believe the design of the vehicle will include elements from the track-only Bolide and Tourbillon. Some details that may carry over include the former’s X-shaped lighting package and the latter’s extra-wide horseshoe grille. It’s easy to see why the customer behind the commission would want to borrow from the two hypercars. The Bolide, which recently finished up production, is an untamed track beast with a skeletal design that’s extreme even by Bugatti’s standards. The Tourbillon, meanwhile, is the third distinct model of the marque’s modern era. It’s decidedly more restrained that the Bollide, but still features a look that’s daring, including a skeletonized, titanium-and-sapphire-glass instrument cluster inspired by Swiss watchmaking.Programme Solitaire’s first build, the BrouillardBugattiThe website also reports that, like the previous two Programme Solitaire builds, it will be built on the Chiron platform. This means that the company’s latest one-off could feature its legendary 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged, an engine the automaker had claimed it was retiring. The Tourbillon powertrain includes a 8.3-liter V-16 and three electric motors.AdvertisementAdvertisementFortunately, we shouldn’t have to wait too much longer to find out more about the news Programme Solitaire one-off. When Bugatti first announced the division last year, at the Brouillard’s unveiling, it said it intended for it to build one to two cars per year. That means that the Bolide and Tourbillon mashup could arrive before the end of the year, and maybe even before the summer is over.Best of Robb ReportThe 2024 Chevy C8 Corvette: Everything We Know About the Powerful Mid-Engine BeastThe World’s Best Superyacht ShipyardsThe ABCs of Chartering a YachtSign up for RobbReports's Newsletter.
