But the Bavarian manufacturer is celebrating something infinitely closer to home—the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Nürburgring—and has appropriately upped its limited-edition game. The Nürburgring officially opened on June 18th, 1927. To mark the 100th anniversary of the Nürburgring in 2027, BMW M and BMW Motorrad are presenting the joint anniversary edition "100 Jahre Nürburgring." It comprises six BMW M automobiles and three BMW Motorrad M models.Frank van Meel, CEO of BMW M GmbH, said, "The Nürburgring is much more than just a racetrack for us – it is a second home for BMW M. All our production vehicles are put through their paces on the Nordschleife.
