Revamping the RangeBMW has been very busy this year, given the number of debuts it's made. With the way things are going, the next couple of years will be even more hectic – in a good way, of course. Among the core models, we've seen new versions of the X5, 7 Series, and most recently, the combustion-powered 3 Series. If anything, the brand is working overtime to revamp its range. With the Neue Klasse philosophy in full swing, we can expect more radical-looking BMWs down the line. With the 3 Series and 7 Series redesigned and/or heavily updated, the 5 Series now looks a little out of place and out of date.BMWThe Neue 5 Series Coming SoonThe facelifted 5 Series is coming soon. Spies have spotted it a couple of times already, and even the M5 was seen being shaken down around the Nürburgring. While slated for the 2028 model year, we could see its premiere pretty soon. Besides, the car will look a little odd next to its smaller and larger siblings, each with its own new look.As it turns out, the heavily updated model may already be starting production. That's based on a Reddit post from an eagle-eyed viewer who spotted something rather odd in the new 3 Series' presentation video. While the resolution isn't exactly high, we can see enough detail to catch our interest.BMWSneaky Preview?Per Reddit user u/Appropriate_Set_215, a brief shot of the Dingolfing assembly line showed the new 5 Series already being produced. The quick snap was, according to the post, 'taken from an official BMW Group video showcasing the new 3 Series, which has been removed.'But what's been posted on the internet stays there, and one could say that the now-deleted clip has been downloaded several times already. Nonetheless, we see a car in the background that's very clearly not the 2027 3 Series. What's Different? We can clearly see that the car's entire nose is different. Gone is the huge grille, replaced by something similar to the '27 3 Series. It looks similar to the renders we've been seeing, and this heavy facelift could mark the return of more normal-sized kidneys. It's still too early to tell if the car in the video is a standard or M Sport model. Regardless, we see a new headlight design, as well as a smoother-looking front bumper. The rest of the body appears unchanged, but we can expect a few tweaks to the taillights and rear bumper. While we're on the subject of potential changes, we're expecting the interior to get the same treatment as the new 7 Series and 3 Series. That means the Panoramic Vision display in lieu of a traditional instrument panel. We might as well say goodbye to the iDrive dial for this update.u/Content-Ganache6643/Reddit
