It looks like someone may have been a bit eager with the official BMW Shop website. According to BMWBlog, the accessories site briefly listed a handful of upcoming 2027 models, from a new variant of an existing M model to the various versions of the upcoming G50-generation 3 Series-which hasn't officially debuted yet. Before you head over to the Shop, note the pages in question are down. Nonetheless, BMWBlog noted multiple models before the Bavarians fixed the oopsies. An all-paw M2 xDrive has been rumored for a while, and while we remain a fan of the rear-drive model for its comparative purity, there's no denying it makes sense for BMW to broaden the model's appeal. While there are no specs listed, we suspect the M2 xDrive will retain the 473-horsepower version of the mighty S58 inline-six, and like other xDrive full-M models, stick to the eight-speed automatic transmission. bmw accidentally leaks upcoming m models, Image BMW Image: BMW 2026 Jeep Cherokee: All the Details It's the new 3 Series that holds our attention. This model will apparently launch in 330, 330 xDrive, and M350 xDrive flavors, all for the 2027 model year. We suspect the M350 xDrive will adopt the more powerful (393-horsepower, 428-pound-foot) B58 engine in the X3 M50. While there is no rear-drive six-cylinder model, we can't rule one out; BMW has staggered model roll-outs before, meaning there may be hope yet for 2028. Similarly, while a 2027 M3 is listed on the parts site, that remains the current G80-generation model; the G84 will replace it, likely for 2028. That full-M model is expected to keep its six-cylinder engine, but BMW already said the current M2 is the last manual-transmission M car, so don't count on a three-pedal setup. Are all these internal model codes confusing? Don't forget about the NA0 3 Series-the i3, which is also expected to debut at some point this year. Unlike the current generation 4 Series and i4, the i3 will ride on a wholly different platform from its gas siblings; in this case, the Neue Klasse platform that underpins the excellent new 2027 iX3. bmw accidentally leaks upcoming m models, Image Kyle Patrick Image: Kyle Patrick With all these 2027 models showing up on the BMW Shop, we suspect official reveals within the next few months. 2026 Polestar 4: All the Details
