The 2026 BYD Atto 3 facelift will get a more powerful, 308 hp motor from the Seal, Car News China has reported, which means that the updated Atto 3 will likely also get an 800-volt architecture with support for quicker DC charging.

Prior information has revealed that the Atto 3 has become heavier at 1,880 kg, up from the 1,625 kg of before, though it retains its exterior dimensions of being 4,455 mm long, 1,875 mm wide and 1,615 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,720 mm. According to Car News China, the increase in weight hints at a larger battery, though its capacity has yet to be revealed.

The 2026 Atto 3 has been said to be adopt a battery pack made by FinDreams, and its use of a higher-output motor as found in the Seal and the Denza N7 suggest that the 2026 Atto 3 will feature an 800-volt electrical architecture as on those models, which will enable the updated electric crossover to support DC fast charging at up to 150 kW, which is nearly double the 88 kW DC charging input supported by the pre-facelift Atto 3.

Known as the Yuan Plus in its native China, the BYD Atto 3 facelift brings a set of exterior styling revisions that give its more resemblance to its smaller stablemate the Atto 2 (known as the Yuan Up in China).

The styling revisions to the Atto 3 facelift include sharper cuts to the front bumper corners where there are redesigned air inlets, along with a downturned central air inlet. At the back, the rear bumper somewhat mirrors the front in styling, and includes a contrasting diffuser at its base.

A new spoiler atop the tailgate gets a scalloped centre section and dual brake lights in the fashion of the ‘pause’ symbol, while the tail lamps get the wave-like elements as seen on the Atto 2 and the Dolphin. The C-pillar panel on the facelift is now simplified, while the new alloy wheel design is more covered up for improved aero. Meanwhile, the front camera on the Atto 3 facelift has been relocated higher on the bumper.

In Malaysia, the BYD Atto 3 is on sale in pre-facelift form as the Ultra, priced at RM123,800, marking a RM44,000 price drop from its 2023 launch price of RM167,800 for the Extended Range variant with the same 60.48 kWh battery capacity.
