Zeekr reported May deliveries of 34,377 vehicles, up 81.8% year-on-year. The brand has now logged four consecutive months of both year-on-year and month-on-month growth. As competition intensifies across China’s auto market, many brands rely on discounts to drive sales. Zeekr is taking a different path. Deliveries of its 9X and 8X models combined accounted for nearly half of total volume in May. Average selling price per vehicle rose 54.2% year-on-year, indicating simultaneous gains in both volume and pricing. The 9X has emerged as Zeekr’s key profit driver in the premium segment. Data shows the model now holds roughly 30% of China’s passenger vehicle market priced above RMB 500,000 ($72,500). The newly launched 8X delivered 5,757 units in May. Production remains in the ramp-up phase. A higher-level intelligent driving variant is set to begin deliveries in July, leaving further growth potential for the model. Zeekr 8X Notably, the Zeekr 001 continues to generate strong demand more than five years after launch. The updated version maintained monthly firm orders above 10,000 units in May. With its domestic lineup stabilizing, Zeekr is also expanding overseas. In Hong Kong’s luxury vehicle market, Zeekr has secured a 44% market share. The 009 and 7X rank first in their respective segments. In Malaysia, the 009 leads the battery-electric MPV category, while the 7X delivered 999 units, topping the local premium vehicle sales ranking. The 7X has become Zeekr’s core export model. Global cumulative deliveries have exceeded 160,000 units. The vehicle has secured segment leadership in markets including Hong Kong, Australia, Malaysia, and Mexico. According to company plans, overseas expansion will accelerate this year. The 7X will launch in South Korea in June. The 9X will begin deliveries in the Middle East. Central Asia and Europe are next on the roadmap. Zeekr’s first brand gallery in South Korea Zeekr’s cumulative deliveries for 2026 have reached 143,201 units. With an annual target of 300K vehicles, the company still needs roughly 157K additional deliveries in the remaining months of the year.
