The company is also preparing a 2027 model year 7X for Q4 2026, with new exterior and interior colour options and an 85 kWh battery pack, IT Home reports. The milestone covers vehicles that have rolled off the production line, not completed customer deliveries. By the end of July, cumulative global 7X deliveries had approached 180,000 units, including more than 136,000 in China, according to industry data. 2027 Zeekr 7X replaces its base battery with an 85 kWh pack As reported, the 2027 model year is expected to replace the 75 kWh entry-level LFP battery with an 85 kWh Aegis Golden Brick pack. The 75 kWh battery is rated for up to 620 km of CLTC range (approximately 520 km WLTP), while the 103 kWh CATL Qilin NMC battery offers up to 802 km CLTC (approximately 675 km WLTP). The China-market 7X is officially rated under the CLTC test cycle, so the WLTP figures are approximate conversions. The Aegis Golden Brick is an in-house-developed LFP battery produced at Geely’s Quzhou battery manufacturing facility and uses short-blade cells. We previously covered the technology when Zeekr unveiled its Golden Battery in late 2023. The global 7X is rated at 480 km WLTP with the 75 kWh battery and 615 km WLTP with the 100 kWh NMC pack. Zeekr has not disclosed complete homologated data for the 85 kWh version, so its range, energy consumption, charging performance and curb weight remain unknown. Industry expectations point to more than 700 km under CLTC conditions (approximately 585 km WLTP), which would put the 7X in the same range territory as the Li Auto i6, which uses an 87.3 kWh LFP battery and offers up to 720 km of CLTC range (approximately 600 km WLTP). Geely has also disclosed a claimed service life of up to 1,000,000 km and 3,500 charging cycles for the Aegis Golden Brick battery, along with integrated thermal-runaway protection. The 200,000th Zeekr 7X rolls off the Ningbo factory floor. Current Zeekr 7X specifications The 7X is based on Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA). The Chinese-market version uses a 370 kW (496 hp) rear motor in the single-motor version, while the dual-motor AWD configuration produces up to 585 kW (785 hp). The performance variant hits 0–100 km/h in 2.98 seconds. The refreshed 7X starts at 229,800 yuan (34,230 USD), slightly adjusted from its original 229,900 yuan starting price covered in CarNewsChina’s September 2024 launch report. For the 2027 model, Zeekr is set to offer an equipment package valued at 18,999 yuan (2,830 USD), including power-adjustable rear seats, a built-in refrigerator and 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. The updated 7X introduced a 900V electrical architecture, standard roof-mounted LiDAR and Nvidia Drive Thor-U computing hardware for the driver-assistance system. The assistance system remains an L2/L2+ driver-assistance technology and does not make the 7X an L3 autonomous vehicle. The Chinese and global versions also differ slightly in dimensions. The China-market 7X measures 4,825 mm in length with a 2,925 mm wheelbase, while the global version is 4,787 mm long with a 2,900 mm wheelbase. Market competition The Zeekr 7X competes with the Tesla Model Y, Nio Onvo L60 and XPeng G6 in China’s 200,000–300,000 yuan (29,800–44,700 USD) pure-electric SUV segment. The 85 kWh battery could strengthen the 7X’s range position without pushing buyers toward the larger NMC option. Domestic deliveries rebounded in July According to China EV DataTracker, domestic 7X deliveries reached 10,253 units in July 2026, up from 7,345 units in June and 7,770 units in May. The July increase represented a rebound from weaker spring volumes, although the available figures do not by themselves establish a sustained new monthly sales baseline. The 7X is also sold outside China and has expanded to more than 50 countries and regions, including markets in Europe, Mexico and Australia.
