This model reportedly demonstrated a high level of safety and showed excellent performance in each of four newly formed stages of safety. The Zeekr 7 GT is sold in China under the 007 GT name. The Zeekr 7 GT scored 79% in the Safe Driving category. Its benefits include a manual switch for front passenger airbag deactivation and some cases of incorrect driver’s seatbelt routing detection. However, the key drawback of this estate is the lack of physical controls. Most of the functions rely on the center screen. This feature can lead to the driver’s distraction. Based on a test drive of some 2000 km through Spain and France, the speed limit information function correctly identified the limit in around 79% of cases, equivalent to 89% of driving distance. On the other hand, the Zeekr 7 GT can’t detect when passengers are in unsafe postures, such as feet on the dashboard. The Crash Avoidance segment got 89%. Euro NCAP experts highlighted that the Zeekr 7 GT is equipped with the advanced driver’s assistance system with Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) function. It performed well in most of the scenarios, except pedestrian & cyclist crossing at low speeds and car & motorcycle crossing in junctions. The car is also equipped with a system that prevents a door opening into the path of the cyclist approaching from behind. The Zeekr 7 GT during Euro NCAP crash test The Crash Protection category scored 93%. Its safety was good or adequate for all occupants in the frontal offset test. Good protection was provided to both of the child dummies, sitting in the rear seats, and maximum points were scored. The car scored full points in the side impact tests. Head protection of vulnerable road users was more marginal, with few areas where good protection was provided. The Post Crash Safety got 95%. The only drawback of the Zeekr 7 GT includes the unavailability of the Third Party Service (TPS) eCall system. However, the door handles are manually operated, and the doors were openable after all of the Euro NCAP crash tests. We will remind you that the Zeekr 7 GT electric estate was launched at the Brussels Motor Show 2026 as the fourth Zeekr-branded model for Europe.
