Image: Tasco AutoFord and Tasco Auto together plan to set up more than 89 DC charging stations across Vietnam. The Blue Oval will invest in 34 DC charging stations, targeting completion by the end of the third quarter of 2026. The homegrown automotive distributor will invest in over 55 DC charging stations and expects to complete its expansion by the end of 2026. The company may source the chargers from Esky Corporation, with which it earlier signed an agreement to deploy over 50 DC charging stations starting in early 2026.Currently, Ford has deployed 16 DC charging stations and 34 AC charging stations at its local dealerships and service stations in Vietnam. Tasco Auto operates 16 DC charging stations and 70 AC charging stations across the country.Ford and Tasco Auto’s cooperation extends beyond physical infrastructure. The duo will integrate their jointly established DC charging stations into the latter’s VETC app, allowing customers to check the availability of the charging points via their smartphones and pay digitally through the VETC wallet. The VETC app has a user base of four million vehicle owners and focuses on electronic road toll collection services.Ford currently sells only one EV in Vietnam – the Ford Mustang Mach-E, which, priced at 1.699 billion dong (approx. 55,000 euros), is its costliest model in the country.
