While all eyes were peering at the night sky in the early hours of Tuesday for the total lunar eclipse, Ram was hosting its own celestial event, the rollout of the latest Lunar Editions based on its 2500 Heavy Duty pickup trucks. They return to the lineup for the 2026 model year, bringing unique design details and extra equipment.Buyers can choose between the 2500 Power Wagon with the 6.4-liter Hemi V8 or the 2500 Rebel with the 6.7-liter Cummins inline-6 turbodiesel. Both trucks will be available to order starting later this month and numbers will be limited. More Than Just Special Paint 2026 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Lunar Edition Interior View Unique to the Lunar Editions is a moon-inspired paint finish called Ceramic Gray. It’s combined with black paint and bodyside graphics along the lower body. Ceramic Gray also extends to the grille surround, while other details like the bumpers and wheels (17 inches on the Power Wagon and 20 inches on the Rebel) are finished in black.Inside, the trucks are fitted with numerous extras, including seats trimmed in full-grain black leather and embossed with “Power Wagon” or “Rebel” scripts, along with orange contrast stitching that extends to the dashboard and door cards. You’ll also find the orange accent color, known as Copperhead Orange, on the steering wheel and column shifter. A final touch is a unique center console badge that sits atop a lockable storage box lifted from the Mopar catalog.Ram Ram has also grouped some of the 2500’s most popular options into the package, including the Level 2 Equipment Group. That brings the larger 14.5-inch infotainment screen, the 10.3-inch front passenger display, a 17-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, power-adjustable pedals, rain-sensitive wipers, and more. The Level 2 kit also adds exterior upgrades such as LED bed lights, a spray-in bedliner, and a deployable bed step. The Power Wagon gains a Warn winch rated at 12,000 pounds, while the Rebel gets power-deployable running boards. Power To Move Ram Ram’s 2500 was updated for the 2025 model year alongside its light-duty 1500 sibling. The revisions brought styling tweaks and tech upgrades to the cabin, along with improved efficiency, and in the case of the diesel engine, more performance. The heavy-duty trucks also finally adopted the 1500’s handy automated trailer-reversing system. In Power Wagon form, output stands at 405 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque, or enough for a payload of 1,570 pounds and a towing capacity of 10,590 lb. The Rebel’s turbodiesel is rated at 430 hp and 1,075 lb-ft, enabling it to carry 3,300 lb of payload and tow up to 19,890 lb.The Lunar Edition treatment adds $1,995 to the starting price of the respective trucks, bringing MSRP to $86,385 for the 2500 Power Wagon and $93,885 for the 2500 Rebel. Both figures include destination. Those are some expensive price tags for sure, but for astronomy enthusiasts who also demand a serious workhorse, it will be worth every penny.
